The musical saw is where it's at! One of my friends that I am doing a side project band with called me at the work yesterday to tell me she just learned to play the musical saw! 
I can't wait to hear it! Maybe we can incorporate it into our cover of a Screamin' Jay Hawkins song. Oh the possibilties!
I had band practice last night, which went alright except for the fact that I didn't bring any of my sheet music with me so we really couldn't go through the songs we already have. But I did discover one of the coolest things on earth... cello and an effects processor. Speaking of cellos I was just listening to "Monkey Gone to Heaven" by the Pixies and there's a cello in it.
