I am through my third week of clinicals and am still enjoying Blood Banking. The only part that is hard or tedious is how strict you have to be with every procedure. It is totally necessary considering giving someone the wrong kind of blood can kill them, but still taxing at times. The supervisor think I am bad luck...I think that all of the women with Rh neg. blood just had a good New Years considering how many babies have been born in the past two weeks. It keeps me busy though Besides the excessive amount of natal testing there hasn't been too many interesting cases come through, just one with super rare blood but we lucked out with red cross having enough of what what needed. The patient is still in rough shape from other ailments but has blood going through her veins for the time being. The phlebotomy job is still the same. Go to work, stab a couple dozen people with a needle, and head home. Nothing terribly exciting about it, just busy busy busy.

I decided to finally go and make an appointment to add to the sun on my back. I go in tomorrow afternoon and get it done. Tomorrow night I should be putting up pictures of the new ink. I am super excited about it. I still have tons of ideas of tattoos I want to get but need to keep the urge under control until I finish this degree and get a big kid job next summer. Then I can really start making myself more colorful because I won't have to worry about the amount of food in my fridge.
