The weather's been really crappy and rainy in NYC lately but yesterday I managed to make it to the park and play some soccer for the first time this year. Jesus christ was I hurting! haha. but i'm determined to go every weekend until i get back in shape. it was still a lot of fun to be outside and running around after a ball.

last night i saw a bunch of bands in Williamsburg including Hypernova which are kind of a dark rock band with Joy Division influences along the lines of Interpol and maybe The Rapture. (no end of times jokes here)

Aparently they are all from Iran (or at least Iranian descent) which is kind of interesting. Good live band.





I'm also looking forward to see Andrew Bird on June 10th. He's playing a free show in Prospect park which is 5 mins walking distance from my apartment.

I dont really listen to his albums too much but all of his live stuff that I've seen on Youtube is really impressive. He can play violin and he lays down all these loops with various instruments and then sings over it and plays guitar as well. His whistling is impressive too!
