i'm starting to feel an inspiration of musical creativity like i haven't felt in a while. when i was last in a real groove (years ago) i could pick up my guitar and songs would tumble out effortlessly and it became almost like a game, to write songs every day, sometimes several per day and to feel like i was in a constant state of creative energy.
since then i became disillusioned in some ways, bored in others, and just stuck altogether. it just wasnt fun anymore.
but now im playing with some old friends again and we have decided to do some recording. today i bought a new piece of sonic joy, a keyboard i've had my eye on for a wee bit.
its got a real bluesy soul-inspired sound that should fit in beautifully with the stuff that we're doing now.
im also playing one of these and its great to be playing such roots based music because i've always been so forward thinking music-wise that this is so fresh to me.

Oooh mouth harp! I used to love playing mine! It has been out of action for a while now but there is something about the purity of the sound that is just utterly... tingle-inducing! Enjoy it!
