well. i actually had a good valentine's day, despite my aversion to the whole thing. my friend Fred invited me to a " pancake party" in party in Park Slope that had kicked off at 4 pm in the afternoon. we had been playing indoor soccer together with the league we joined and so we didnt get there until about 7 and expected to have already missed all the pancakes and fun by then but instead we found an apartment full of dancing people of different nationalities and everyone was having a great time. Fred is brazilian so naturally he knew a few brazilians there but they welcomed me with open arms and soon i was kicking it on the living room dance floor and having a blast. there were no couples there to speak of (that i could tell) so it was a cool vibe with some flirting naturally and i even made out with a colombian girl named Lina. so all in all, a good day.

Sounds like a good time. For the record, I agree with the aversion to the day. Too forced in my opinion.

Pancakes and attractive company? Sounds like your Valentine's was well spent.
