I've been strangely fascinated with Purple Rain lately. Its been on cable a lot and its a pretty strange film. Purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka? Yep, thats actually in the movie. Computer Blue? A lyric from one of the songs. Plus did you know that the other groups in the movie, Apollonia 6 and Morris Day and the Time were real bands from Minneapolis?

Prince's girlfriend in the movie is Apollonia and she was in a band call Apollonia 6 in the movie. I assumed that this was a fictional band.
