its getting close to my trip to France on tues. i have to do laundry, start packing, pick up some random odds and ends, and make some music mixes for the car.
last night i went to a beach/party spot in the east river called Water Taxi Beach. the vibe there is very Miami. its not bad but the DJ there kinda sucked. me and my friends tried to dance but we gave up pretty quick because it was just ridiculous. later we went to the east village but i'm still suffering from a cold so i wasn't drinking and started to get bored around 2 am and headed home before they headed off to APT, a bar that apparently looks like an apartment.
a girl i met last night was interesting. we talked about spirituality and psychic phenomena. plus she was was cute and a musician. i'd like to hang out with her again.
music-wise i've been listening to a lot of neil young and blur. i've always though graham coxon was one of the better guitarists of his generation and albarn's song writing still impresses me.

my friend wayne has one and we are planing to hang out tomorrow and do some music. i want to play me some wurli.
[Update:] I played the wurlizer and it was everything i hoped it would be.
