Texas passed a law in september that basically allows people to kill someone that comes onto their property. you can kill someone to protect your property and its called the "castle doctrine". its apparently been passed in 19 states already.
of course the inevitable happened only 2 months later and some 61 year old joe shmoe shot 2 guys in the back (non-white guys i might add), with a shotgun, in broad daylight, after they robbed his NEIGHBOR'S house.
is it just me or has this country just completely lost its mind? possessions are worth more than a life?

Believe me. I heard it. It was all over the news here as it was local and in an outlying area of Houston.
