Wasted a while
This is one of my first ones; I think I wrote it as a senior in high school and have rewritten parts of it over the year's .Even though it's somewhat adolescently written I already knew enough about irony and the devil.
At college I edited it as I met more "people" and watched their ways. 1979
The guy said, "hi" I said, "hello"
He said, "Wanna party" I said, "lets go"]
He filled up his pipe so I took a toke
I stared at the wall I burped up some smoke
We tooted some blow my mind went limp
He made me a drink so I took a sip
My eyes got as misty red eyed and all
The black phone rang I was told, "Gotta call"
It was my man he said, 'buy some coke"?
I said, "I would but I can't cause I'm broke"
I hung up the phone and looked for my stash
I found some mesc and a gram of black hash
And on my tray were four hits of Tai
Nothing to say 'cept give it a try
We puffed the Tai in a small glass bowl
I then had the munchies so he gave me a roll
I took some acid and my mind was a spinning
On midnight baseball the spiders were winning
We then did some rush my mind went afar
Next thing I know I awoke in a car
It was my dealer man he was pissed
His friend tried to hit me his friend didn't miss
They beat me numb and kicked in my liver
When I was dead I was tossed in the river
Floating along I came back to life
I said, "thank you lord" "for helping my strife"
Then down at the falls was a dude dressed in red
"Would you like help," he forcefully said
"I want your soul," "and you better sell"
"For now little junkie," "you're entering hell"
