2 poems, first was inspired by dean koontz book of same title, 2nd was inspired by Mallory Keaton (yummy bunny) from family ties. she once said... "when colors clash men are soon to follow" talking about fashion, i thought it was a great line for a political poem too.
Servants of the twilight
Servants of the twilight
Serpents for a byline
Deserving of the dark night
Hiding with a night light
Waiting for the night life
Crouched in a darkened room
Overcast with utter gloom
Occupied with certain doom
Knowing it could happen soon
Whistle melancholy tunes
WHG III
Colours clash / tables turn
When colours clash
Men are sure to follow
This I ask
Why is our tomorrow
In our past
Within our reach
But not our grasp?
When tables turn
Joy spills into sorrow
Then we burn
'Till we see tomorrow
Grief returns
Within us but
We never learn
