I am currently overwhelmed by obligation.. Pursuing what you want out of life is way more stressful than working a job you hate, then drinking with your friends every night. The latter is a miserable existence, but most people rationalize it and learn to maintain some level of enjoyment.

But actually going after your dream, that opens all kinds of doors of potential failure... Failure isn't even my biggest concern. If I fail I can pick myself up and try again, but what if I succeed only to realize what I have wanted isn't really what I want, well then I wouldn't know what to do with my life..

I enjoy doing nothing, but after so much of that I want to do something. Once I get started on doing something, I become overwhelmed by obligation and romanticize the days when i did nothing... Elton John sang a song about it called "the circle of life"...... actually the song had nothing to do with what I am talking about.... That song was just supposed to make kids be okay with the fact that the lions in the cartoon eventually ate each and every one of the other cute characters..

I have a lot of things I am supposed to be doing, but I am going to do nothing for a little while..
