About your paintings, I'm NOT being generous. In fact, I have not yet even begun to be generous. They're really, really G D . (6 yrs of art schools & all I can say is "really, really good" ) More on this later.

While writing this, I'm listening to some netradio called the Green Lounge that plays vintage space age bachelor pad music with a lot of swing, surf/spy and OLD jazz thrown in. The song is some old-time vocal group, 4 white guys with a big band doing a lazy, sweet love song (like a lullaby for an afternoon nap). The line that hit me was "I wonder at your blunder," & I just thought that was so romantic. Like when everything someone does is beautiful. Then thinking about that gave me appreciation for love itself. Y'know, I've studied the scientific mysteries of the universe (in a dilletante-ish sort of way ), but I never really thought about the phenomenon of love. Because it really is a force of nature-- as powerful as any that move the planets. It might even be an actual, measureable energy.

hmm. my most random thing like that was when I was 17 and waiting for a bus hungover on a saturday morning. It was 30 below and I felt someone looking at me. I turned slightly. There was a guy with everything out, staring at me and jerking off. I was amazed the damn thing didn't freeze and drop off.
