Oh my, oh my. Was up practically all night grooving away at a hip club that played 60s soul and current brit pop. Very cool. Also very tired. It seems like the older I get though, the more determined I am to squeeze in every ounce of fun into my life. I love dancing...with good friends.

Two things I realized last night after smoking a...

Only 20 days into the New Year and I've managed to accomplish one huge goal already.

God I am so pleased with myself right now...don't mind if I indulge my ego for a little while.

Leola,

Hey, thanks for responding, I'm glad you took everything in stride. About the crossdressing, I've actually only done it once, for Rocky Horror this past Halloween. However, I'd wanted to before that, and I really enjoyed it. I'm just a little shy/insecure about doing it more often without such a good 'excuse' as Halloween.

I also enjoy smaller variant activities like wearing makeup, nail polish, etc. But again, with little motivation or 'excuse' I'm just basically to chicken-shit to do it on a regular basis.

But I also enjoy crossdressing and other variant actions in others. I find most aspects of androgyny very sexy, and again, playing with gender/sex roles is very sexy as well.

About TMV, I got to see them last October in Dallas and it might have been the best show I've ever been to. Saul Williams opened and was very powerful (if you aren't familiar you should really check him out), and then TMV played an amazing show. I think describing it would be clumsily done and wouldn't do it justice, but Omar's guitar-playing and Cedric's vocals were heavenly, and everything just came together to create the most amazing atmosphere for a couple hours. Those couple hours alone even gave me the biggest crush on Omar blush I can't wait for the day I see them again (March 23 with APC), although I am the slightest bit worried that being an opener will dampen their vibe. However, APC and Maynard specifically won't disappoint.

And, I'm interested, what is the big goal you've already accomplished? The fact that you didn't identify it right after has me really wondering.

Leola,
Firstly, congrats on the internship! It sounds like it's almost what you'd like to be doing, which is nice. Are you an undergrad or grad student? I'm going to try to get an internship for this summer, but I'll probably do a half-ass job looking and applying, and not get one. To answer your question, yes I'm a business student--a finance and accounting double-major as of 2 weeks ago, actually. But, I'm also a Women's Studies minor, so I have a nice balance.

And, yes, you do need to see Rocky Horror. I am not a crazy fan of the movie itself, but seeing it in a theatre with everyone dressed up is an amazing experience. Is there anything else fun and exciting on your list of gender bending things you like/would like to do? Oh, and if you like gendering bending chix and attractive people, like your profile says, you should check out The L Word on Showtime if you can. All the women on there are very pretty, and most at times are gender bending. I've caught the last two shows and I hope to catch all 4 during the marathon on Sat. night. I dunno, maybe you don't even get it up there, but it's a great show.

I am back!!!

Holidays went so super well, every time I go back home I am reminded more and more just how much I adore my family and friends. I must have put on about 5 pounds on Christmas day alone, the curse of being born into a somewhat traditional Italian family lol.

Here's to a New Year, new hopes, new dreams, and plenty of...

Yep, I moved to TO when I first left home - I have some very lonely memories of that town. I go there a couple times a year now for meetings and have grown to like a few spots... Lee's Palace is a fav of mine. I stumbled across it back in 1986, going for the simple fact that my last name is Lee. Perhaps I'll bump into you there sometime smile

I'm working on a series of painting of people in trees. You can see one of the pieces in my pics. If you're interested, I would love to chat with you about what I'm trying to express. Any input would be more than welcome.

What's your work all about, how do I get a peek at what you're up to?

PS - I saw Attila Lukacs work in Fredericton, New Brunswick back in the mid 90's. It was of all the skin heads and meat... talk about getting the locals excited. The Beaverbrook actually purchased a piece for big $$.

There are a couple of places that have shown Lukacs stuff in Vancouver recently - he's a local boy here. He went through a stage of doing trees with tar from an interesting perspective and now it's more minimal collage kinda of stuff.

Dare ya to post a pic in your candids of your work smile

Just got back from a night of dancing at a groovy mod club here in the T dot. It has been so long since I've danced, it felt so good to allow my body movement be dictated by driving rhythms. Dancing is such a liberating thing for me, I pray to God that I'll always be able to get up and groove.

Leaving the big...
