I used to think tattoos were so hot when they weren't very popular. I used to think those who sported body art in the alternative/punk rock crowd to be among the most interesting and liberal-minded individuals around. These days, I see so many seemingly uninteresting people covered in the same old shit. It seems like everyone has cherries, stars, spider webs, band logos, tribal clip art, suns, etc. What I once beheld as a fascinating form of self-expression has become very banal to me, even half the girls on this website I would have salivated over 3 years ago don't even turn my head anymore. Don't get me wrong, I am dazzled by amazing work when I see it. But there's still of plenty of crappity, crap-crap out there. I know this all sounds very snotty and hypocritical, as I am branded with one piece myself. Maybe I dwell on the bandwagon jumpers a little too much. Maybe I've just been hanging around so-called underground scenes for too long to feel like anything coming out of them is really interesting or original anymore.

Lately, I'm just plain bored with a lot of things, I really don't know what my problem is. Bend me over and remove the stick from my arse, please.

PS: Just for the record, none of you bore me!

Fabulous people usually have a healthy dose of boredom / ennui / jadedness (?). It helps make them oh so stylishly distant. tongue

Don't sweat it- although we are living in one of the most crucial moments in human history, our existence at ground zero is, overall, pretty pedestrian. But hey, it takes WORK to live a magical life 24/7, y'know? Just enjoy Life- as it comes, in all its subtle shades & kaleidoscopic forms. Whoa... far out, duuuuude! biggrin surreal blackeyed

As far as tats- that was always my thing about it. I saw this moment coming & sidestepped the whole mess. Besides, my rub on "Motor-Cycle" tatoo gets me all the chicks I need. ARRR!!!

Oh- "there" is here- that is to say, this life (also, conversely, there- the other side touched during mystic states or drug binges tongue ). It's a Grateful Dead song- "Box of Rain"

Maybe I'll pass on the spatula, because everyone will be asking, "where's the frying pan?" and then I'd have to show 'em my ass, cause that's the only logical place it could go whatever

maybe this weekend will give me my first ink, who knows?
