It looks like perserverance has finally paid off. The "thing" I was hoping for was a succesful interview I had with a digital tv channel last week. I phoned the president of this co. today and he said "I really wanna work with you." I had another job interview this afternoon with a different post-production facility for an assistant editing gig, but after much delibreation, decided that the former was the better route to take. So as of next Monday, I begin my second job in the media industry as a Production Coordinator. I will be responsible for liasing between the producer and clients. Apparently there is a techincal component to this task, but I have yet out to find out what that is. This position is part-time to start which means I have to find another job to supplement my income, but I'm perfectly fine with that. Right now, I'm am extremely grateful that I've managed to land a producing-related job merely two months after graduating from my program. I feel very blessed with this offering and can only hope for the best. Thanks to everyone of you who sent good luck vibes. I cherish your sentiments and return the warm thoughts. Mwwwaahhh kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss

On a side note...

I am sipping my father's homemade wine and watching the last few minutes of Scream. I'm savoring every ml of it. All it takes is one glass of the good stuff and my head is spinning. If you have never tried homemade wine before (the "homebrew" shops don't count cuz they're shite!) go out and find yourself an old-school European with a large cantina. I promise you'll find something sweet and tanic to tickle your palette!

Last week-end I did karoake for the first time. I went to some bar in the queer district here in town with a group of friends. I had no desire to go at first, but as soon as we got there I downed a few gin and tonics, then decided it was time to show the Disney Cruise Ship table sitting across from us how karaoke was really done! These keeners were taking themselves so seriously, like they were audtioning for American Idol. Don't get me wrong, some of them had beautiful voices, but I just got tired of the pretentiousness, so I selected Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler to bellow at the top of my lungs. Fuck, did I butcher that number right up! I sounded like a cross between Courtney Love and a cayote. I did all the classic gestures too, from clutching my chest to pointing to the sky. By the end I was on my knees. I never thought I'd feel so compelled to make a total arsehole of myself in public, I guess I'm more spontaneous and obnoxious then I like to admitt. I can't wait to do it again. Any suggestions for the next debaucherous night?

Love you all kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss

Why do people in gay karaoke bars ALWAYS end up doing Total Eclipse of the Heart AT LEAST once per night!? It's like an unwritten code of gay karaoke!

I rule at karaoke, btw. wink

Anyway, congrats on that awesome-sounding job! Any hints about which "digital tv channel" it is??
