No snowboarding attempts, sadly. I decided that since skiing was cheaper, and I hadn't fully enjoyed skiing yet (this was my second time) that I'd do that again this year. I know I want to try boarding in the future, but I'm not sure when that will be--maybe next year.

I was gonna say, as far as boards go, I've always been partial to Sims. Ride has some really good boards too. But that's just 2 brands. There really are a lot of good boards out there, and just as many bad ones. Ask around. Ask your instructor if you still have one. And if you find a good board shop with a decent variety, the salesperson should help show you the difference between inexpensive begginer boards, and flat out cheap boards. Your best bet would be to shop around, and then research the history of the companies of the boards you like. See if they're a fly by night company, or one that really cares about offering a good product. hope it helps

Yeah, there's a lot more stories where that came from. . . We (Jock and I) had these things called "The Documents" . . .one for each year of school documenting all of our foolish exploits and bizarre happenings. I'll have to dig them up and leave some chapters up on the boards. My roommate is actually a writer and he's trying to incorporate the documents into a novel to get publish. I'll probably get The Documents when i finally finish cleaning my room. (thats a bigger project than could be expected.)

once i climbed a waterfall, and about halfway up i found a groove that fit my body *perfectly*. i lay in the space ~ sort of like a tomb ~ and watched the water cascade down in front of me like a veil between the corporeal and the ephemeral while cool drops occaisionally snaked in to bite me. mmmmmmmm *shiver* i long for such things again soon.
