New post, way past due! Oh, I also ended up loving graph theory, and even now, I'm enamored with it.

I'm jobless. I'm a bum. I spend my days reading...a lot...because books are easy to get my pauper hands on. Then I go impress people with my bizarre knowledge. I feel pathetic and enlightened all day; it's just a tiny bit sick.

I didn't read Poe in the 3rd grade, but that's because I skipped 3rd grade. However, I'm pretty sure I was reading him in 2nd grade.

I had a bunch of those excellent old Dover anthologies. Something like this for example: http://store.doverpublications.com/0486428443.html

There was a classic Dover series of anthologies of mystery stories, suspense stories, adventure, so on. That's where I read "The Most Dangerous Game," for example. And probably "The Monkey's Paw." And so on. smile

I could have lent you a copy of the McGraw Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology ... I pretty much memorized the thing before I was 12 anyway.
