So Valentine's Day was nice. Had a good Korean meal and topped that off with Friday the 13th. Nothing like a slasher movie on a day about relationships; i think it's rather fitting though. It got me thinking; what is the real point of Valentine's Day. Is it a day for a couple to make up for the entire year of ignoring each other, is it an excuse to get laid, or an excuse to eat chocolate and not feel guilty about it. I started thinking about all the bad Valentine's Days i've had, and i tried to figure out which was the worst. At first i thought it was the one about 8 years ago when my boyfriend at the time spent the entire day and night working completely forgetting about the damn day. He pretty much did that through our entire relationship though (hence why i'm not with him anymore). Than it came to me: my worst valentine's had to be the first valentine's day i had with him. He was in NY at the time, so we couldn't exactly spend the day together. I was cool with that. I remember him telling me to keep my eye out for something in the mail. So of course i'm thinking flowers, chocolate, hell a damn stuffed bear would have been nice. You want to know what i received that day?! I got a damn FRUIT BASKET! Why the hell would someone send their 17 year old girlfriend a fucking fruit basket on their first valentine's day! I remember spending that day watching Brendan Fraser movies, eating the damn fruit basket, and asking myself why. Funny thing is i still ask myself why. It's like that fucking fruit basket haunts me every valentine's day. Should have been a sign to end the relationship than. So what were some of you guys worse valentine's days?
