As much as I'd love to keep my entry about heavy metal up forever, I think I need to update.

I'm feeling so strange. It's wierd, but at least my emotions are constantly reminding me of my own existence. I feel like I'm on the cusp of turning into a philosophizing bore, so I'll stop while I'm ahead.

Shit. I'd write more, but, you know,...

at least you are constantly reminded of your own existance instead of lumbering blindly about the earth like so many other people are.

Ahh an eve at the crack ally, It's hard to believe that place hasn't checked out! bad prelude music aside, any place that mutilates the clientele with toxic chemicals, and stays in business has a deal with the brimstone king himself! We used to go there every Friday 6+ years ago, it was one of the only hoppin joints that would Play old AC DC hits! yep, going there half tanked/cooked, surviving the treacherous road trip to brave the vomit infested concrete flooring, to shout out Thunder at the top of my lungs brings back rich memories! lol, too funny!

Wow. Evening of pure metal goodness.

Hold on, I'm going to get a bowl of cheerios and then transcribe my evening of pain.

Okay, so the Three Inches of Blood show was at the shittiest dive bar EVER. It was replete with a massive-chested bar-wench and a lot of really drunk nu-metal fans. No good for little ol' me, I tell you what. Seriously, this...

"Say, do you have a ship and a dozen able men that maybe you could lend me?"

Things feel good tonight. I love my friends and the world is warm and seems to be taking care of me. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

So what was so good tonight?
pihka:
I could use a ship and and a dozen able men as well...even though its already past sailing season. But maybe the dozen able men would take care of my work for me. I think Id very much like that.

I had a beer with gods of metal. It was pretty rad, even when Atrasties was making fun of my hair.

Oh. Ok. you should have called. My roomie was on the computer and I fell asleep waiting for a phone call. That's cool - I can use the time for prep anyway.
lemonkid:
Your hair's great.. especially while wrestling through 3 inches of blood.

Be my communist.

Who's ship did you sink with those lips? wink

Well, the show was a bust. There wasn't one. A van decided to commit suicide so my beloved 3IoB never made it. However...

Apparently we're hanging out tonight.

Three Inches of Blood!

That's pretty much the gist of it. I don't care that it's sunday and that my day is guaranteed to be shit until 6 o'clock and that I'm tired and grumpy. I get to see my favourite band ever sing about killing orcs. It's going to be grand.

Fire in my heart and metal in my veins!

And then there was that time I missed yet another great concert because of the 'whack' hours I gotta work.

Oh, that time is now.

TOTALLY whack.

Peace, love and... the whack attack.

*passes Leningrad a Fender Axe, all the better with which to kill orcs and play tunes*

Let's wallow in 3 inches of orcish blood and determine our chord structure via the I Ching and a 20 sided die.. wink

My poem was making me nervous. So I made a new entry to cover it up.

Why is it that the things we want the most are the hardest to obtain and that true happiness often seems like an illusion meant for those who exist only in stories? Why do we struggle so hard for something that seems so likely to slip through our fingers...

I also liked the poem it gave you a nice softer egde that you actually hide from most people, and I knew that ladytron was british as I have a cd of theirs. Oh and when you tell people you are going to the ship and don't show it is dissappointing even if that person will forgive the both of you just on the grounds of being adorable and thinking you rock.

In a word I think selfishness, in regards to the last queery.
That is all. wink for now. dum dum DUUMMM.

In that case, if you ever happen to get your hands on this book, I very much recommend. A charming tale about a fox who dreams up a whole world for to be able to be human there and love a man...an exquisite book, and well-written.

In the shortened hours
when times slips through
(cold and unexpected)
we sat.
In the span,
of a broken heartbeat
or a tick or two
felt kinship to the words
that cut closest.

Mercy in tears
though the awful reign of helplessness
held us in uncertain arms
we broke ourselves like waves.
Salt and shaking sobs.

Sitting there
in the shattered semblence
of weakness.
We...

Ikea is a strange vortex of unusual-sounding furniture at low prices you feel guilty for wanting. I bought some very plain wood shelves that the Swedish call "IVAR" and put upon them my gaming books. It was quite an adventure lugging them, in pieces, on the train.

Lotus and I have embarked on a mission to make our home a better place in which to...
