This is an entry in three parts. For parts two and three, check out Lotus and ticktock.

My ears are ringing, my throat is burning and my veins are full of metal. \m/ skull \m/

Just got home from the three inches of blood show, and all I can really say is that those fine young lads always know how to make the world seem just a little more ,,, metal. *chuckle* The show was, Three Inches notwithstanding, pretty standard. Punk Rock band, band I've never heard of, Band from BC. It was decent, but nothing amazing. Finally, Three Inches.

They started up with Dark Horse and just went ballistic from there. There isn't much that gets me worked up, but that show did it just fine. I was, I'm sure, making a total fool of myself, but I had fun, and I think that's okay. *grin* There was a whole load of new stuff, which I'm always on the fence about, because I don't know the words. They played a lot of the stuff off the second album too.

Between sets, Lotus and I screamed at them to play our favourite song, to do it for the old-schoolers (I got to be a pretentious bastard, I was wearing a two-year old 3IOB shirt). The singer thought we were pretty funny, and I guess he noticed me singing along ...

Highlight of the evening; when they got to "Balls of Ice", the chorus is pretty mindless, so they usually just let the crowd take the mic. Anyway, I'd been rocking out the whole time up to this point, right up front, and when that part came up, the singer just leaned the mic stand out and I grabbed it and there was much screaming on my part. *grin*

I accidentally put my fist in someone's face though. If you're one of the cute girls we stickered, I'm really sorry. Otherwise, go me, I'm punk rock.

Speaking of stickers, give us enough, and the SGCalgary patrol could turn this town pink. Every cute girl at that show got one, plus some. This is where Lotus' story comes in... There was a punkrock girl that ticktock gave a sticker to, but I imagine he'll use the opportunity to mock me in his angle of the story.

Anyway, with a sore-ass throat, I'm off to bed. They gave me the mic.
