CalgaryBash was a load of fun. I did many a thing I am not used to doing. Enjoying a social situation, for one.
I only caught the tail end, but everyone was quite hilarious to be around. I met Atrasties who I have heard a ton about. Stand-up fellow, though we didn't really get to talk much. Wrong table, wrong car. He's a geek. We'll talk again. Also, made with the introductions to freak pirate and stateofdenial both awesome. Freakpirate looks a lot different in person. Dude, I think you need a better camera. *grin* Stateofdenial and I shared a few moments of kung-fu hilarity. Koosh is the only person I know that I like better now than I did in high school. *chuckle*
I met up with everyone before we went for dinner. Dinner was fun times. Buddha's Veggie is always tasty. We debated the eel. Why do the Monks get special plates?! Also, for some reason, decided it would be funny if, for our amusement, the wait-staff and the kitchen-staff had kung-fu battles every hour. Post food we spent two hours driving around like idiots. That, not so much fun. Almost getting on a Christian talk show; more fun. I was _this_ close.
Machine was fun. I don't normally drink, at all, but Koosh bought everyone a round of something and I didn't want to be rude. There was pool, there was dancing, there was pinball.
I had fun. Which I don't often do. So thanks everyone. Pics tomorrow!
Aya, you're a a doll. Thank you so much.

I'm slowly (and I mean very slowly) working on acquiring a better camera. Hopefully by the new year...

Man, almost as soon as I got home, I left for Vernon.... and the whole drive I was seeing ninjas and kung-fu monks leaping from tree to tree, waiting for their time to strike!! It was intense, but I calmed myself down by reciting a few proverbs: "Maybe it is *I* that is leaping from tree to tree"
