I've been wanting to get my nose pierced for a while now. Just a tiny, cute little stud...nothing crazy. Now, I work in a corporate office and I wasn't sure how they'd feel about it so I asked someone in HR. She said she'd advise against it. Technically, it's not allowed. I'm just so put out by this! I mean, come on now! A little nose stud is so taboo? What decade do we live in here?!?! I'm an admin assistant, it's not like I see clients!
The other thing that sucks is that if they won't allow a nose piercing they sure as hell won't like the tattoo I was planning for my forearm. I suppose I could keep it covered, but what will I do in the summertime?
Argh! Why must I like my job (and the $) so much?!?! WHY WHY WHY? Corporate America can SUCK IT!

Also, I used to teach kindergarten and piercings were frowned upon. But I made it a point to always show up on time, stay late, work hard and all around dazzle my co-workers and the parents of my students with my committment. My nose ring was totally overlooked. And my students thought it was pretty.
