Having been nowhere but the grocery store in the past three weeks - and fully masked / fully vaxxed at that - this new variant is no joke. I can’t remember ever being this sick, I can’t imagine this unvaxxed.
That being said - my first test came back negative. PLEASE double / triple test before seeing your loved ones this Christmas!! False negatives happen, it’s so important to be careful right now!!

I'm sorry you caught it and hope you managed a festive holiday somehow, but I'm really glad you were so responsible. It's so important that you wrote this, to spread real experience that hopefully makes a difference to at least some of your thousands of followers. Your experience, like hundreds of thousands of others at this point, is proof that not enough of us have still taken this as seriously as we need to: vaccines, boosters, and we're still back to the importance of flattening the curve as seasoned doctors and nurses are quitting nationwide because they just can't take it anymore. I'm actually glad I found this post late so I don't have to worry about you!

Yipes. So sorry you had to deal with this #%^&@! virus. I hope you’re back to feeling 100%. I’m currently enduring the side effects from my covid booster shot, and that’s knocked me down for two days; I can only imagine what the actual virus would be like. 🤗
