FROM TEH PRIVATE FORUMS... (ps, this is best read if you click on my blog tab
)
"Our DKP system is relatively simple and straightforward... most of the time. We use an open bidding system in which DKP is awarded for killing bosses. Bonus DKP may be handed out in certain situations, and DKP docks can occur as well. Details can be found below.
Bidding Rules
* Standard Bidding: Bidding is done by simply saying your bid amount in raid chat. If you want to bid 10 DKP on an item, you simply say "10" in raid chat.
* Ties: If you tie another player's bid, the winner will be whichever player has the most DKP.
* Bid Retractions: Once you make a bid, you may not retract it for any reason. Obvious typos (for example, if you bid 300 instead of 30) may be corrected, but not retracted.
* Bidding on Duplicate Items: If you would like a duplicate of an item you already have in order to put a different enchant on, you may bid 1 dkp on the item and supply a nexus crystal to a guild officer for the item. If anyone in the raid actually needs the item, you may not bid on it as a duplicate.
Standard DKP Awards
* Blackwing Lair: 2 DKP per boss for all bosses except Nefarian. Nefarian is worth 3.
* AQ40: 3 DKP per boss for all bosses except C'Thun. C'Thun is worth 5.
* Naxxramas: 5 DKP per boss for all bosses except Kel'Thuzad. Kel'Thuzad is worth 7.
DKP Bonuses
While this is not a comprehensive list, bonus DKP is generally handed out for the following:
* Boss Attempts: 1 DKP per attempt. An attempt is not classified as any random pull - an attempt is classified as a good effort by everyone in the raid in which progress over previous attempts is made.
* First Kills: Boss DKP Value. For the first kill of a boss, DKP earned is doubled.
* Speed/Cleanliness: While there is no real guideline for this, officers will often award a small amount of extra DKP if certain parts of instances (or the entire instance) are cleared quickly and with few problems.
DKP Docks
With our liberal awarding of DKP also comes somewhat liberal docking of DKP. Many of these reasons are explained in further detail in the raid policies (link) thread.
* DKP Pacts: -100% or -200, whichever is more. A pact is any agreement with another member or members in which one or more members agree to only bid to a certain amount or not bid at all for any reason. In other words, making DKP Pacts is something that you absolutely should not do.
* Pulling a boss early: -40 DKP. The penalty may seem harsh, but pulling a boss is so ridiculously easy to avoid that there is no reason this penalty should ever have to be given out.
* Leaving a raid early without ample notification: -8 DKP. If you will have to leave at a certain time, say so when you get in the raid. "Alright I'm tired, later doods" or "I have to leave in 5 minutes" isn't going to cut it.
* Poor Personal Performance: Officer Discretion, generally -2 to -10 DKP. This includes things that are easy to avoid and should never happen, such as blowing the raid up with burning adrenaline on Vael or dying to insect swarm on Anub. Failure to follow directions also falls under this category.
* Coming Unprepared: Not being prepared for a raid (not having enough gold for at least two full repairs, not bringing consumables, etc) will not result in a dkp dock, but will result in unprepared players not earning any DKP for the current raid.
Alts and Apps
* Applicants earn DKP and may spend it as a main against guilded members.
* Alts do not earn DKP, and may not bid against players on their mains.
* A player on their main only needs to bid 1 to beat any bid by an alt."
garbage
the most experienced should get gear first :|... I mean, I already have Tier 3 (9/9) and I need one more piece from the Epic PvP gear... but its retarded. I hate it.... Now, I try to pimp out my alts and I get shit all... 1 fucking DKP to beat an alt :|... <insert explicit rant>
also, there should be a massive DKP dock if nubs younger than 2 months in the guild cause the group to wipe.. which never happens with the elites in the guild.
