Im helping small people build a city
after an apocalyptic war/recession/globalization-type-disaster

walls of TV's, windshield skylights, houses of high tech crudety.
Little boys catch a polluted fish breakfast with nets made of power cords.
Men hunt deer with sharpened pool cues.
there are guns everywhere, with empty clips and chambers.

The king of sylmar communicates with his subjects via a system of battery powered baby monitors and fisher price walkie talkies.
Before they found those they burned oil for smoke signals.

The batteries are running out though, so was the oil...
no one seems interested in making more.
