Because I have a cast on and German doctors are crazy I have to give myself a shot (with one of those pen things) in the stomach everyday until the cast is off. I am incredibly scared of shots. I gave myself the first one yesterday and now there's a big purple bruise around where the needle went in. Did I do it wrong?

I don't think I can do this everyday. frown

the bruises are most likely from being tensed when taking the shot, missing the vane, or if youre not doing it in a slow even fluid motion.. depending on how big the needle is..

and dont worry..

it gets much easier

i used to have a bit of a needle fetish.. well it was more the drugs i put in them.. but i dont do that stuff anymore.. but i do know allot about needles LOL

also the angle you go in at depending on hwat part of the body youre doing it is important.. you dont want to go through the vane.. that will leave a hella bruise
