Let me tell ya now, I had been struggling with just the right model, just the right concept, to encapsulate February Stars, which is one of my favourite songs off of Foo Fighters' 1997 album, The Colour and The Shape. Enter @ravenivy. I wasn't even planning on using photos from her newest set https://www.suicidegirls.com/members/ravenivy/album/5721512/nothing-else-matters/ (Photog: @cersei) until I saw the sheer excellence of it. Thus begins the second time I've used this beautiful young lady as my muse (Criminal, I know. Only twice, you say!) Thankfully, she rather unknowingly sent me a lifeline. Hope you all like it :-)

First off, I feel really bad for obscuring most of @lilmelmelody's beauty, but I wanted to make something a little more, shall we say, atmospheric. There is very minimal red in this photo and I dunno how my mind worked when it decided that this young lady's adorable "life" tattoo needed to be the only thing to remain coloured. FWIW, I think my mind was right. The lyric quote is a little, maudlin, but I suppose this piece is my way of finding some celebration in these lives we live. One of these days, your heart WILL stop, but it's alright. Also, don't ask me what that clock is doing there, but I suppose it does kinda represent the passage of time, if not looking a little out of place with the rest of the piece. Whatever happens, I love this young lady, she is awesome, she is sexy and most importantly, she is lovely. You know that feeling when all the air is punched out of you? You feel dizzy, you feel like you're about to drop? That was a little how I felt when @olgakulaga posted her blog about leaving SG for a while. I have "known" this young woman since 2019 when she first decided to shine her light onto SG, and me, to a degree. I have seen some of her comments about other SGH's and SG's alike, and I also fondly remember when she would pop by my page and drop a little encouragement onto me and my artwork. She probably doesn't realise this, but she is an angel walking on this Earth, simple as that. I had to pay tribute to her and if anybody has been brave enough to scroll through my graphics, you'll have noticed that I have made a couple of artworks of her, including the botched Rhapsody in Red (What on Earth was I thinking with that? I completely fucked that up.) I had to make amends, had to redeem myself, so, here is my attempt at it. The photo used is from her newest set https://www.suicidegirls.com/girls/olgakulaga/album/5852282/solo-una-donna/ which seems like her swansong here, for the time being (Unless you count the upcoming set.) And what a way to make an, albeit, hopefully, temporary exit. The set was shot by the ultra-talented @sinspictures. Trust me Olga, I will not be walking after you, as the title suggests, that would be creepy and stalkerish, but I will say THANK YOU. Your light will forever shine in this heart of mine. I'll see you down the road, young lady.

Like I was gonna do an FFxSG set without harking back to one of the old school models I used in FFxSG stuff, I present @chef! To say I had a bit of a crush on this woman back in the day would be an understatement, she's just gorgeous! Sadly, I cannot give credits as she has taken all of her photosets down, but still, she deserves to be involved, being as I already have two other pieces revolving around her and Foo Fighters. If you're still about, young lady, I hope you are well, happy and contended with life. I miss you.

And yes, that is Dave's handwriting, or, as close to it as you can get anyway. Font was found on dafont.com, IIRC. Also yes, that is the classic logo lurking about on her breast.

@solostella The greatest way you could thank me, is by just continuing to be you. Keep being the beacon of light that I know you are. Keep being the sort of person that I'd want to be friends with, albeit online.

@freyafakhov artwork! I have to say, I love this photoset, it evokes everything about summer. You have a gorgeous woman frolicking in a lake for Chrissakes, what more could you possibly want? I am pretty certain that she never wanted summer's end when she was shooting this shot, but sadly, Foo Fighters never recorded a song wishing for summer to continue. Rather, they prayed for summer's end, miserable ass band! (I kid, they're not miserable at all.) So here we go, presenting FFxSG 2025: Summer's End. This song is taken from their 2007 album, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, which was a very personal album for me, you may find out why later.
