Thank you for the tag, @kungfury !

Xmas/Holiday Q&A

1. How was your Thanksgiving and what are you thankful for? Much like @kungfury, I am from the UK, notably England, so we don't celebrate Thanksgiving. I am thankful though, for just about everything. As I get older, I realise that there is less to be thankful for in material stuff, but in regards to everything else, I'm just thankful to be here, in 2023, experiencing all of this, good bad, and otherwise

2. Who's putting up a Christmas tree 🎄? Duh, us. Wait until the 13th of December, for the whole twelve days before, twelve days after thing

3. Do you have any family tradition for Thanksgiving and Christmas? Christmas opens up on the 1st of December, before that, all songs are banned, all movies are banned. Then it's all Heck breaks loose, usually with the essential Christmas classic, Home Alone.

4. Your best advice? You guys already know this one, don't eat yellow snow, it is 100% never lemonade flavoured

5. Do you have any holiday charities you donate to? Gotta be honest, no.

6. Your favorite Christmas song? John Lennon: War is Over

7. Your best Christmas present, your choices given or received? I've forgotten most of the presents I've been given, it comes with the age. To be honest, with two girls of seven years of age, I'm more interested in which presents they view as their best presents.

8. Do you have your Christmas shopping done? I'm male, so that's a big resounding NO

9. Fun question something you enjoy during the Holidays? Just the general atmosphere tbth, there is something magical about this time of year. Everything becomes much brighter, you get the pantomimes, the street buskers, the choirs, and everyone seems to just get that little bit, kinder, y'know?

10. Do you have plans for New Years eve? Not yet, but trust me, when I do, it will involve some sort of debauchery and me eating more yellow snow, because, I may be able to give you guys advice, but can never follow it myself.

11. Your goals for the new year 2024? Get a passport sorted so that I can take my family on holiday into somewhere that's NOT the UK

12. Your New Years resolution? Like I'm gonna keep to it!

13. Your favorite hobbies? Reading, writing, making graphics

14. Do you do Christmas cards? No, not since social media

15. Share anything you want from your past holiday's? That is classified information

Song Quiz (Remember you can change 5 artist you don't want in my selection)

The Beastie Boys: No Sleep til Brooklyn

The Beatles: Fuck, this is a hard one, can I just pick all? Um, probably Get Back

The Cure: Friday I'm in Love

Deftones: Never been a Deftones fan

Gun's & Roses: Estranged

Black Sabbath: Paranoid

Metallica: The Unforgiven pts One and Two

The Eagles: Take it to The Limit

System Of A Down: I'm drawing blanks here too.

Michael Jackson: Stranger in Moscow

Led Zeppelin: D'yer Maker (I think that's what it's called)

Jimmy Eat World: The Middle

The Doors: Touch Me (That wasn't an invite, unless your name is @olgakulaga)

Poets Of The Fall: Sorry, who?

Pink Floyd: Comfortably Numb

Elvis Presley: Fucking really? You want The Beatles AND Elvis? Seriously though, I was the One

Prince: Raspberry Beret

Placebo: Their cover of 20th Century Boy

The Rolling Stones: Mixed Emotions

Kiss: Despise this band with a passion (Could be a song title, I guess)

AC/DC: You Shook Me All Night Long

Green Day: Forever Now

The Offspring: Special Delivery

Thank you for tagging me @kungfury and I apologise for not having the eloquence that you put forward in your version. I make somewhat pretty pictures, I do not make pretty words LOL

@mirameow Music is one of those things that is, against my own better wishes, far more important to me than movies or TV. When an artist is really good, they can tell stories just with their lyrics alone, for instance, Bruce Springsteen. If you listen to something of his, like 1980's The River, you begin to draw your own conclusions as to what is happening, it becomes vivid and you can see the characters in your head, from their struggles to their triumphs. Of course, The River is somewhat biographical, so Bruce doesn't make it hard for you to visualise what he is saying. It's the same with Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi, you relate to Tommy and Gina and want to see them succeed. Songs like those resonate with me because they tell stories. Thank you for the kind words, btw, I hope you are well x

Great combo of questionnaire answers, and now you are making me question any yellow snow cone I encounter.
