Ok, so British degrees work like this:
An average mark of 70+ = First class degree
60+ = Upper second class, also known as 2.1
50+ = Lower second class, 2.2
40+ = Third class degree

My average mark so far, with 8 of my 18 contributing classes completed is 63.4

With a little bit of mathematics which I've chosen to spare you, I calculated...

Ok, so what is it about answerphones/voicemail that make you sound like such a tool when you record your voice on them? Is it something to do with the fact that you know at the end of the day you're talking to yourself??

It's Amanda's b'day today. Amanda being the cute thing I am infatuated with in AZ. Sent her a signed copy of J.E.W.'s...

Ok, so half of my friends list has gone grey... What did I say?! wink

Didn't go to D.E.P. on Thurs- realised I had a lesson at 9.15 on Friday morning I hadn't prepared for. Didn't actually do any preparation in the end, but I did get some much-needed sleep and talked to Amanda online. Got to the lesson and discovered it was on something I'd...

Well, I still have to work, so that's out.

I've actually spent hardly any time in british airports, for all my airtravel. Seems like most of the time I fly to CDG and chunnel to London, or I'm just changing planes at LHR and on my way elsewhere.

Oddly enough, my favorite airport is Detriot.

(stop laughing)

Detriot is new, sleek, clean without seeming painfully sterile. Its design is sleek without being stark -- lots of natural rock, and sheets of steel. And, best of all, they have tons of vegetarian food. My only problem with it is that they don't serve alcohol before noon on Sundays (some kind of state law?) but apparently that's not an issue for most people.

I like your taste in music. Have you heard the new Ben Folds?

Last update was boring

The Dillinger Escape Plan are playing in Malmo on Thursday.
I have no idea what they're like, although someone told me "grindcore", which means about as much to me as their name. When you're in Sweden, you go and see anyone whose name you recognise, though...

That theory has worked well so far- International Noise Conspiracy, Le Tigre and Swearing at...

You missed Motorhead! I was disappointed when I read their tour dates and found no Florida on it.

I think I might have played it too innocent. I can be ambigious sometimes. And of course she's a hottie. R P Head is a playa, he only goes for the cream of the crop. wink

d.e.p. have been good everytime i've seen them...

and i'm trying to get time off the new job so i can stay longer but we have no space at all - my little swedish boy had to sleep in the hallway by the front door! eeek

Things are ticking along. Not done much of significance since my last update, but I thought I'd post something so you know I'm still alive.

Been looking at postgrad courses in the US this evening; the idea being that I could move closer to Amanda and see if anything will happen between us. On the plus side, I've found quite a few courses I could...

I found out that I'm getting a bunch of money from the EU for being in Sweden today. I mean, they already gave me a load that I thought would be it for the year back in November, but they're giving me a load more. Woop!
Sadly, it's arriving too late for me to be able to visit cakemix in Stockholm this weekend, but on...

Or rather, becoming the person I've always been, but been too afraid to be it.

I've always been aware that there has been a lot of fear in my life-- a lot of which I have inherited from the people who educated me-- but I've never quite been able to work out how to do away with it. After all, fear is often there to...

I really can't figure out why I'm so fucked up right on the cusp of Spring. These are supposed to be happy days! Also, I am completely unattached and single! What is my problem!?

I got your email. That was really very cool of you. :-) I love that boy like crazy and it honestly means a lot to us both to have support.

Sometimes I'm glad I keep my mouth shut. At least in public, anyway. On Sun, having got about 2 hours' sleep after a day-long bachelor party, I met my brother's fiancee's family and friends and formed a distinctly negative impression of them, which I carried on into the rest of the week.
When she and he had a pretty fierce argument on Thurs while I...

Seen Jimmy Eat World twice in 2 days- went to an instore yesterday and saw them in concert tonight.
I only know about 1.5 of their albums, so I didn't know all of the songs, but I made sure I sang along heartily to the ones I knew. And dug my knuckles into the backs of anyone who stood too close to me and tried...
