So the plan to get up at dawn isn't working- got up at 11.15 yesterday and midday today. On the plus side, at least I'm getting plenty of sleep- I think I need it.
Joined the gym yesterday, so hopefully I'll be a bit more inclined to sleep at night in future.

Plugged in the kettle to boil some water for my spaghetti last night and after a couple of seconds these big yellow sparks started coming out of the socket and then some smoke which has left a nice mark on the cabinets over the socket. Really fucking glad that after a bad experience with a kettle last year, I never put it on the metal drainingboard or I think I might've been a dead Lego. Not very popular with my corridormates for killing the kettle, but it's not like I meant to or even did anything unusual to cause it.

Got a shirt I ordered off Mountain Dew's website and a bunch of books a friend of mine bought me for my b'day through the post today. Haven't opened the books yet, though, 'cos I wanna save them for next Friday.

It's beautiful here at the moment- it's -3 and there's gonna be snow and sunshine for the rest of the week. Yay
The Swedes all wrap up really warm, so I've started having fun freaking them out by going outside in just a T-shirt. I'm only going like 30 seconds to the supermarket, but you can see their eyes bugging out that I look like I'm going somewhere in -3 with hardly any clothes on! hehe...
