I have a lot of trouble with making relationships in adverse situations- I worry that people are only hanging with me because they don't know anyone else and that they don't even like me that much. This isn't rooted in paranoia so much as I just often misjudge people, so I have no confidence in my assessment of new friends. However, I finally have a substantial group of friends I feel comfortable with here, including a group of masters students- Josh and Katie(American) and Babs(English)- and some other randoms I share common interests with.
Had my 2nd Thanksgiving meal yesterday with the masters students and assorted friends. Very different to last year's but then if it had been similar, it would've made one of the 2 a disappointment.
In other news, I think I have the best idea of what I'm going to be doing in the near future that I've had in months.
27th: Josh's birthday party. Drinking. Merriment.
This week: 2 lessons, plus work on French European politics essay.(Hand in Friday)
Dec 4th: Christmas cabaret- first time I've played in public since August.
10th French oral exam
11th Written exam on Saturday.
Following week: Head up to Uppsala to see my classmates from Hull for a couple days.
17thChristmas party and hopefully a Lucia at some point.
21st return home.
Hopefully celebrating New Year in Copenhagen
7th Jan: Callie, one of the exchange students from Hull last year is visiting for the week
16th: Jo, a classmate from Hull arrives in Lund for the semester.
19th: Class begins.
I am not putting a lot of faith in this working to plan, but it's nice to have an idea of what I'm doing past the end of the week.
