Just wanted to wish everyone (but especially the people who will be celebrating it) a very happy Thanksgiving.
I was introduced to it last year by some friends on exchange from America at my uni, and it's actually now my favourite holiday because there's nothing Hallmark can latch onto to make it corporate... woop. I will be celebrating it with 3 Americans, a Mexican and whole bunch of Europeans this year, which will be interesting... Won't be able to watch any of the Thanksgiving football games, but I think I'd be too tired to watch them even if they were on TV.
In other news, I've managed to persuade my university that spending a month in Italy visiting friends next summer would actually do more good for my Italian than getting a job on a campsite and talking to British holiday makers
Consequently, I'm planning on doing a little (month long!) tour and dropping in on a few friends. Hopefully I'll get to meet up with some of SG Italy along the way too- that'd be sweet
I'd better start saving some money now, though- a month travelling ain't likely to be cheap... especially if I do as much drinking as I'm hoping to do!
