Still tired.
Kicked back yesterday afternoon and watched Lost in Translation and Virgin Suicides which I bought on Sat (with an intermission of "War Games" on TV, which was pretty cool).
I first watched Lost in Translation at the cinema with a bunch of friends and watching it again yesterday reminded me of one of the girls I went with. She and I have never been an item, but every now and then the thought has crossed my mind. Yesterday I remembered how I felt about her when I first watched it and I'm trying to tell myself that's all it was, rather than me suddenly realising any kind of latent passion in me for her that I'd not noticed.
One of the members of the site also reminds me of her, so perhaps she's just been on my mind a little more than usual...
Today's escapedes featured going to the diy store to get some safety goggles and then 4 hours' power-washing the patio... Didn't actually use the goggles after trekking the hour round trip 'cos I thought I'd live dangerously. (Aren't I cool?)
That and also the heaving behemoth that I expected the washer to be turned out to be quite lame and was barely lifting grit.
Finished when it was getting dark, so I have no idea how much difference it's made yet, but there was lots of wet dirt swimming around, so it must've done something.
I'm not quite sure how, but it's actually pretty tiring doing it- I've got a load more to do, so hopefully my arms will look better for it- my pledge to get buff by Christmas hasn't really seen much progress so far!

It's weird how fucked up Virgin Suicides is, come to think of it, and still charming & sort of light at the same time
and of course, Lost in Translation
