Today's been a good day-
I've discovered I'm getting more money for the work I've been doing than expected, which is good, seeing as the more permanent bit is stuck in the pipes at the moment.

Put together a power washer today, which I'm quite looking forward to using- gonna descale the front path and patio and stuff but I need to get a hose to connect it to the tap. Might get that tomorrow.

Couldn't sleep last night so I wrote a song about Steph, which is good, 'cos I've been feeling a bit funny that people who haven't meant as much as me have songs and she didn't... It's not the most positive of songs, but then we haven't exactly got the most positive of relationships at the moment: until she appeared on AIM last night and reminded me what we had I was of a good mind to let things drop... I don't know if I miss her or just want to straighten things out with her, but I know it'd all be easier if she were still here, thus the song is called "Wish You Were Here" in a Led Zep/Incubus vein.

Dug out an old acoustic I haven't played much since I bought a big new swanky one last November. The strings are really skanky and need changing, but they're really light and playing it is actually a bit easier than my new one.

Today's playlist contains:
Soul To Squeeze- Chilis
Luka- Suzanne Vega
It's My Life- No Doubt (Talk Talk)
Roads- Portishead
You Could Make a Killing- Aimee Mann
I'm Only Sleeping- The Vines (Beatles)
Sunburn (Acoustic)- Muse
For The Love of You- Joss Stone (Isley Brothers)
Evaporated- Ben Folds Five
Volcano- Damien Rice

A quiet night, all in all.

I could go on a lot longer- I have a lot on my mind at the moment, but I'll save it for tomorrow.
