Rang up the computer workshop in Gothenburg on Friday morning, swallowed my pride and spoke to them in English, for the sake of clarity. They agreed they'd done precisely nothing and dropped the bill. In passing they also mentioned there was another service centre in Malmo that Compaq hadn't told me about. Gothenburg is 3hours from me. Malmo is 10minutes from...

It's ironic that I feel so much less prepared for marriage now and yet that very thought makes me actually more prepared.
It's like when the more you learn about something, the more you realize that you don't know anything about it.
Yeah talking to people when I went to mission trips to Peru and Ecudor awhile back that gave me a different perspective on Western culture as well.
I saw International Noise Conspiracy. They were awesome. As was teaching Swedes to stage-dive.
Today:
I went back to Gothenburg. It was the exact opposite of last time. The weather couldn't be nicer, the place was full of old people, and I got my laptop back. The workshop want me to pay 650Kronor (50-60) for turning on my laptop and leaving it alone for...

So yesterday I decided that I'd see how well I could understand a Church service in Swedish. It went pretty well, actually, which is a good sign, 'cos there's a whole load of new words...

2 hour French lesson, inc. translating from French to Swedish and back, explaining said exercises to an Italian friend (in Italian) and then trying to grasp a complex grammatical point. For some reason I deigned to make this harder by simultaneously applying this grammatical point to my existing knowledge of Italian...
The perk of this, however, was that my 3...

Some I lifted from a friend's livejournal. I'm not too sure about some of the entries- some of these songs probably don't sum up the scenes in my life very well, but they remind me of them, so they can't be far off.

What's new?
Steph is doing a great job of putting me off wanting her back.
I'm bored and lonely, but I have a book of 3500 Swedish idioms to keep me company.
I don't know if I could trust a girl in your situation. Trust in the lord.
Hopefully it's just a coincidence, and nothing Freudian.
In the normal run of things, the odds are strongly in my favour that I know someone who knows the person I'm talking to, but being on foreign shores, the chances are somewhat diminished.
Northern Ireland has a very small population, relatively speaking, so this happens quite often to me. What's more surprising is how I'll bump into someone I know from home on foreign shores. It's happened a few times, and it's really quite bizarre. I'm fairly certain if I tried to set up a new life in some obscure Finnish village, I'd still bump into some bastard I didn't like much from school
keeps life interesting, though, so can't complain.
None of my favs look like my mom.
Then again, my mom is a corpse.
Having been to a couple of parties in the last few days and had a drink (by no means "drowned my sorrows", though) I actually feel a lot better. I guess part of it was just having a mental landmark between me and Wednesday night.
Decided to send Steph a mail yesterday afternoon to let her...

Let's not discuss yesterday's events any further, but I don't think it'd be an overstatement to say I was haunted by thoughts of it today. I'm trying to continue positive attitude, but it's so hard when frankly I really feel like half of me just died....
