Want a mini update of my life lately? Ok!! I'm incredibly happy 95% of the time. The other 5% is when I can't control my anxiety and my thoughts try to ruin everything great I have. Those moments are when I run to @chrysis. She is absolutely the BEST. I think there was a thing awhile back on here, a homework thing, "How SG has changed my life". Well, do I still get points for mentioning it now? SG has been a MASSIVE life-changer for me. I will cover it briefly, without organization (like every other blog of mine). The friends I have made: the short list, but relevant to my everyday life- @chrysis and @mah. Both such amazing lady friends. They've helped me through some very rough times, and celebrated all the great times. Plus, they will never turn down a drunken mirror selfie. Also of course @yesenia, whom I had the pleasure of living with last year. She is a beautiful little woman who showed me around Orlando, and made me fall in love with this city. The whole reason I got involved with SG years ago, was because I met a stunning girl named @frolic. She introduced me to Suicide Girls and after some convincing, I gave it a go, with @frolic and @alissa's help. Once I was in, THAT is when my world totally changed. It was like I was reborn, or liberated. I had spent my life doing what others expected, looking how they thought I should look, and after SG I realized I was free to be whoever I wanted to be. So of course there were changes to my appearance, but also moving across the country. I probably wouldn't have had the balls to do that, had I not already said "fuck your expectations" by getting naked physically and emotionally for the world to see. So here I am now, a couple years after joining SG, I'm 30 years old, in love with my life, and so thankful I'm a part of the SG world.
SG has recently led me to some modeling opportunities. I never pursued ANY modeling besides SG. I thought, "I'm 5ft tall, 30, and don't have a "model" look". But despite not searching for it, these opportunities have presented themselves and I'm grabbing them. I had a super fun shoot last week for a clothing brand. @kush came up from Miami to shoot with me, and I think we killed it!!! I can't wait to see the results. I will share them:) I have TWO gigs coming up as a body paint model, with an incredible artist. I had been secretly hoping he would ask to work with me, and was super flattered when he reached out to me.
Soooooo, other things..... I might have another move in the near future. A MAJOR move, but still within Orlando;) Also, I am doing a complete change of my diet, going Paleo. I never ate much meat and I don't know how to cook, so this is a huge lifestyle change. I'm excited to see changes in my body with diet and exercise working together.
