So...WTF am I doing today you might ask?? Or you might not, either way I am going to tell you.
I am sitting on my ckick-clack couch/bed/chaise lounge watching the XBOX 360 Defiance BETA download. Xfinity I can't tell if you are fast or slow any time but when I am downloading something for my XBOX, or if I am watching Youtube videos. Other than that, all is good.
Yes I am going to be playing the BETA for the Massive Multi Online Player Killer RPG GAME from Trion based on the up and coming show Defiance.
For those who don't know Defiance is a new TV series starting April 15, (What channel excapes me at the moment) that takes place on Earth 9 years after aliens have landed/crashed and we have had a huge WAR with them. Defiance is kind of like Deadwood except in a post apocalyptic Earth Future. It's Science Fiction and I am all about that. I would live in a SFI FI universe if I could, the problem is which one??
The Game and the TV series are supposed to cross over during the series. What happens on the TV will effect the game and vise versa. Neat concept, let's see if it holds water. If the game is any good, which I hope , ( I already pre-ordered the $99 game pack with goodies) then I will be a happy camper.
Why did I order a $99 game??? because I worked 58 hours this last week and there will be plenty more days of overtime in the future, expecially this quarter, and most likely 4th quarter.... So I will actually have money to burn,. Not literally, i need to save as much as I can, but what is the point of all the OT if I can't enjoy some of my hard earned $$$$$$.. Ya'know!?
Wow... I am only 67% complete on a 5.29 GB download... I hope this doesn't take all night, I at least want to test drive it before I have to get to bed. My work day starts at 6 A.M., so I am up at 4ish and on the move by 5 so i am not late and have to bring doughnuts.
Anyone else do this at work?? If you are late then you have to bring doughnuts?? It isn't really a have thing, more of an incentive to be on time in the future, but you get the point. This is the second place that I have worked at where they do this. Kind of cool, very fattening to say the least.
Well that's my rambling for now. I will probably peruse some lovelies while the last 30% is downloading.
