Life. Oh, life.
This past Saturday I met up with this sweet art student from Georgia, Darby, who is in town for the summer. The itinerary sounded date like: Meet in Pioneer Square, walk to Capitol Hill, eat dinner in the pseudo alley part of Oddfellows, eat ice cream, walk and sit in Cal Anderson Park, a round of late coffee at Bauhaus and Blue Sky, walk back to Pioneer Square then driver her home to the U District around 11:30pm.
Yeah yeah, Good times. She's pretty cool but I was unsure of if the vibe would turn more towards romance or friendship. Sushi Monday. Seemed definitely friendship. Or maybe just no romantic vibes so that's it? Or maybe I should have taken a first step? Probably. Yeah probably. I clearly do not date, you see.
I suppose the most exciting bit was that it happened. You see, I desperately don't want to loose touch because I'm dying to breathe some new life here with another creative person as of late. Even if it's just a new friend.
Speaking of breathing, I have not given myself the chance to breathe in about two weeks. I been so busy at both work and socially. This is my first night at home in a while. Lots of drinks, art, music, new people. Sometimes I don't want to stop moving. Tonight I felt like I was going through some kind of withdraw as I was feeling pretty antsy.
Friday. This upcoming friday. Supposed to have the day off, unlike everyone else. Was going to go walk around Mt. Rainier Park. Could have used it too. Now it's Monday, like everyone else. This is good. My best friend from the East Coast is coming in that day. Then, I also have Friday off. Three day work week. Yes!
Tomorrow night is First Thursday. Followed by Sgt Major III at The Comet Tavern.
I want to run around.
