emergency
super early this morning i took hubby to the emergency room. he's been having bad bowel movements since wednesday and hasn't been able to hold down any food and water. needless to say, he was really really really dehydrated. we spent the better half of today in the hospital, rejuvenating his body's liquids. it was difficult seeing him in the gurney hooked up to an iv. i've never liked hospitals, needles, heart rate monitors, ambulances, etc.... all thanks to my mom being a nurse and taking me to the hospital with her after school sometimes... but yeah, it was difficult seeing him there, even though his reason for being there wasn't as severe as the 81 year old lady brought in on the ambulance for advanced pneumonia or the 90 year old lady who kept barfing on herself every 1/2 hour. he's sleeping now, catching up on lost sleep. i should wake him up soon, it's time to eat and he hasn't had anything in his tummy for a day or so.
