oysters
it was an emotionally tumultous weekend. i'm not going to go through the details because i just don't like dwelling on negative feelings and situations. so on to the fun and happy stuff.
we went to the point reyes national seashore in marin county. we're big fans of the ocean, beach, historical points of interest, and bbqs. we go there often during the summers to fish, take our doggie for a run, or even just to camp out in the car, facing the ocean, with blankies and pillows and watch a dvd on the laptop.
we also go to point reyes to buy freshly harvested oysters. there are a few oyster farms in point reyes, but we like going to the johnson's farm. mark, whose grandparents started the farm about 90 years ago, always remembers us and usually allows us to buy him out of what he's got left. heehee! we always make it a point to stay for a bit and chat with him, see how the farm's doing and stuff. turns out they will be tearing down a lot of the buildings on the farm because they were built without permits. so the county is coming in and regulating them on that. so we took as many photos of the original buildings for safe keeping. we were getting hungry after an hour so we went to north beach, played with doggie outside, and camped out in the car. we didn't bbq this time, like we usually do. we were going to bbq when we got home cuz my in-laws were going to come over to celebrate hubby's b-day. we headed home late in the afternoon and had the bbq up and running by 6.

haha it does say jan. but it's a weird happy feeling having not one but two people wish you a happy birthday when it's not your birthday. haha. and i know how you feel about just writing the good stuff instead of the bad. i try to make it a point for evey bad thing i write not only on here but in my regular journal to write one good thing for every negative one. it keeps life more cheerful that way. mmm bbq's. hehe. xo
