So the Westboro Baptist Church is coming to my hometown in order to protest all of these other churches that aren't anti-gay enough for them. I got to wondering, how anti-gay does a Catholic have to be to get these people to stop bothering them? As it turns out, REALLY anti-gay, since their website is "Godhatesfags.com" which is very subtle. Reading through their page, I'm convinced that they're all utterly insane. Wow, how much energy goes into hating fags with these people? And really, where does it get them? It's all very strange. I hate this type of organization, especially since they supposedly HATE the US, since the US promotes gay rights. And why shouldn't we? The steps forward we were taking 5 years ago were in the right direction, but these days, extremist groups are taking a cue from our currently insane regime and stepping out to voice their creepy intentions. I love the US, it's my country, and there are a lot of things wrong with it, especially now, and by all means, these people have the right to express themselves, but when they start condemning the military and thanking god that soldiers are being killed because we're apparently "sodomites", then I have to take offense. These people need to die--not that I'm advocating violence in any way.
