Helllo everyone!

I know i promised a lot of you photos from the dress up party on Saturday (good times ... thanks again, Alana!) but unfortunately i was cameraless all night! i have poached a couple of photos from Megan's blog so you can get an idea of what went down ...

Good times as usual!

>anyway, to make up for my lack of party blogging, i decided to blog something far less interesting, cooking a barbeque at Shanans house

a bit of a story to this, walking through the supermarket with Shanan picking up usual footy-watching supplies (meat, booze, chips) and i stumble upon a little bottle of garlic aioili, a sauce we used to use all the time to dip our ships in back when the prince of wales parma night was basically just the two of us eating parmas, and not the 200+ parma madness it is today.
anyway, i had a bit of a freakout at how much i loved the stuff, and decided to make this no ordinary 'barbecue at shanans hamburger' ... this was gonna be special! so we loaded up on ingredients and headed to the barbie where the construction could commence ...

Step 1: Light up the barbie! get that thing nice and hot


The Patties go on the plate ... as well as some snags and chicken stick-things, but they arent interesting (writing this, i am regretting not trying one of those 'texan barbecue' sausages .. they looked tasty, but i got caught up in my hamburber and forgot!)


The Bacon goes on the hotplate, the english muffins go on the grill, and the cheese gets melted onto the patties biggrin


Construction begins ... toasted english muffin ... bottom half


So i could convince myself this lunch could be good for me in the slightest, i started with some arbitrary lettuce product biggrin


Now we get to the good stuff ... hamburger patty still bubbling with melted cheese


On goes the bacon ...


The Garlic Aioili! the reason for this whole production ... mmmmm yummy


And what aussie barbecue would be complete without some Tomato sauce!


On goes the lid and there you have it ... one surefire scrumptious lunch! especially when coupled with the Mountain Goat behind it (quite possibly the best beer put on this earth) ... damn tasty!
