i haven't had to work for almost five days now, and it's been glorious. because i am in a war zone, i still have to show up to work, but i don't have to stay there. so for the past couple of days, i've spent a lot of time lounging. it's so damp and cold outside that the best thing to do is lie in bed reading or playing nintendo ds. i recently bought a game that has different type of club house games, and i've been stuck on "mahjong solitare." i really like to match things. i also play a lot of regular solitare, chinese checkers, and connect five. i'm hoping santa clause will bring me new games for christmas. that is if he's brave enough to stop in afghanistan. he might not because of the possibility of the insurgents attacking him. i guess i'll just hope that my mommy buys new games for me. cross my fingers, hope to die.....stick a needle in my eye.....

today, i discovered the power of the "wish list" on amazon.com. there's no way the family can buy me suck gifts this year...no way...

i am going to embrace the warmth and comfort of my bed.
