Monday morning arrives. Im dozy due to 4 hours sleep. I start walking up the road to work (I do live and work on the same road, its a long road but still..) and I see police cars stopping other cars from going further. You can still walk though and I continue..

I now see a further 5 police cars, ambulances, a fire engine and a helicoptor! There is a bright red helicoptor in the middle of this town road. Very surreal.

I get closer and I see two mangled cars and one has skidded for about 50 yards and smashed into a metal pole at the side of the road, on the pavement that I walk down everyday. I gathered through speaking to some police that the car bombed down the bus only lane, lost control and BANG into the pole.

I was told that the driver was ok but the passenger wasnt wearing a belt and their head banged off the windscreen with such force that the police fear the person might have permanant brain damage. Thats why the 'copter was there, it was an ambulance to fly them away.

I didnt see the accident but seeing all the aftermath it makes you more humble about life thats for sure.
