It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

I mean, really beautiful! The snow is still white, the air is warm. The whole scene reminds me of living in the mountains...minus any actual changes in elevation. These are the days it's good to be alive: when it's winter and the air is warm and moist and the ground is fluffy and white. I'm picking up the...

No wind no kite....went for bicycle ride instead. We have, I think, one of largest military aircraft storages here in Tucson...so I took her to see that...she got a kick out of that. I have a little problem of how much those planes cost...and how the government uses our money...but that is another rant.

Came home and played XBOX.

My new sweetie came over and cooked BBQ.

Very good Sunday

Doesn't look like I am going to ride today...taking my 8 year niece for a bicycle ride, maybe go fly this cool pirate ship kite I bought her for her birthday. No snow here...high 60s I think...Tucson in the winter is awesome!

Burning man, eh? Always wanted to go there, I am not too far from it maybe 6-7 hours. Bonneville Salt Flats...is that where it is.

lalindaloca...I am assuming has never been on a long trip in the Pinzg before...that would get old real quick.

What is Up with The Colbert Report?

So I'm dicking around with the TiVo when I notice that during the CGI intro to The Colbert Report there are lots of words spinning around. I think to myself, "If my job were to create that graphic, I'd put a dirty word or two in there."

And lo, there did appear unto me just such a word!...

Kid's photos, shot by parents, all over the net now. And the embarrassment of childhood can be seen by the entire world at download speed. I think most kids will adjust.

Or, Therapists now have a huge new study group for net neuroses.

Ah, the Colbert report...One of the few proofs left that American's can still laugh at their politicians without being dragged away in secret to a eastern european prison.

Man that looks cold out there. And I'm a Canadian....

Jack Chick Update

So I found someone brave enough to host the Chick/Cthulhu parody.

WHO WILL BE EATEN FIRST?

And then there's this: the letter the author's ISP received from a ChickCorp executive. Isn't there some kind of parody exemption to copywrite and trademark laws?

Cease and Desist

I like the idea of a challenge. Usually more than I like a challenge itself. But I sense this will be different. But then I always do. Nevertheless, here goes:

20 Things About Me That No One Knows
Well, not "No One" but not many at least and no one knows all this about me.

1. I am never indifferent toward myself. I either love...

Wow! I didn't even know parodies of Chick trax existed!!! I kinda always thought of them as parodies of themselves, really... I mean some are friggin' hilarious!!! I will do a snoopin' around now to see what I can find. I got connections, kid! Stick with me! wink
lazboy:
Apparently, Mr. Chick's lawyers are quite rabid about anyone making fun of their (deceased?) leader. Which is why I think we don't see much as it is a fertile field for making with the funny.

Of course, they are quite chuck-a-licious all by themselves. I especially like "Dark Dungeons" but then I would given that my soul is clearly damned for much the same reason. I only wish I had learned an actual spell or two. It's bedtime children. Now SLEEP!!! smile

So I've been officially chastised by the coolest chick I know to update this thang. Well, in the spirit of sharing insipid details with total strangers (plus one very cool chick), here goes:

When I got to feeling hungry today, I decided to go for a ride and grab a bite at my favorite spot: Kitch'n on Roscoe.

My first challenge was how to get...
