I think I haven't been doing the blog assignments because it's boring when people tell me what to do. I love to write and when people tell me what to write about I have no desire left to do so. I'm such a typical hipster. Haha BUT with that being said I don't like that it has caused me to be very inactive on here SO I will do one of the suggested blog topics and stop being a stubborn dummy.
"My first concert"
I grew up doing nothing but obeying my parents and studying in my room for school. Music was always my getaway. My friend. It would take my mind off of anything bad or allow me to express myself in a way I never new how to before. It helped developed my interests and my personality traits. My parents wouldn't let me go to any concerts for years. Until finally when I was 15. My favorite band at the time was Avenged Sevenfold. Mainstream. Corny. "Not real Metal" People say what they will. Everyone has their own tastes this was also years ago, but for me they were a band that allowed me to break out of my boring play-by-the-rules-only type of personality. AND allowed me to branch off slowly into listening to heavier bands/different genres. Leading me to the awesome music taste I have now :P
Anyway, now that I went on a massive tangent, as I always do, back to what I was saying. It was definitely an amazing show. One of my favorites even though I wasn't lucky enough to be on the floor. I went with my sister and we screamed our heads off. It was also memorable for me because I got to see them before the Rev passed away. He was one talented funny mother fucker. I'm grateful I got to see them. I'm grateful they were my first concert. And I'm grateful for the other genre's and friendships they've allowed to enter my life.
It's funny looking back on this moment actually because it was such a big deal to me at the time. It was such an exciting event for me to look forward to. It's cute thinking about how innocent I was then haha Anyway I actually found a few embarrassing photos from the day on my old myspace. Enjoy some laughs at my baby face.
