Today was good. I was at an awards lunch in this afternoon. This type of networking will be a part of my job in the near future.
I feel like a "little Girl" in this new position. I guess it's because I don't exactly know what I am doing. I have a Drama Degree I know how to "Act" like I know what I am doing. The girl I am replacing is 24 with a diploma in marketing. I'm almost 30 and my degree says that I can ask "Do you want fries or salad with that". I know It's just my Jitters talking.
After work I went out with my girlfriend Lisa to Checkers Lounge for beer, wings and good conversation. Her and I get into arguments about "stuff" (that happened just over a week ago). You know, girlfriends are like sisters to each other. Ya spat, then you make up and it was like nothing happened...at least until the next bicker.
Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I work from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and then I'm at a trade show from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.. Now that is what I call a full day.
So this little girl is going to have a good sleep tonight.
