HAPPY NEW YEAR!
usually this time of year for me is bittersweet. I can't help but always think of the Counting Crows song "A Long December"... it's been a long december, and there's reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last...
but this year was different. The end of the year didn't make we want to cry, it didn't make me feel like another year has gone by without any direction, without love, or without hope for the future. I've done a lot to turn my life around this year:
.I stopped drinking so much
.I got my money issues in order.. I pay bills, I'm not late paying rent, the creditors have stopped calling and it is FANTASTIC!
.because of the drastic drop of alcohol consumption, I have become a cheap date, and I have always wanted to be one, ha
.I have an amazing boyfriend who doesn't make me cry, ever
.I am applying to grad school, which means I have a 2 year plan
.I am bartending, which I LOVE, and I don't care if anyone says it's not a real job!
Things are not perfect. By any means. But I am optimistic about 2010. Here are some pictures of what I've been up to!

I just got back from Minnesota... visiting my friend Lindsey and going to the Metrodome to see the Vikings slaughter the Giants!!
I also had a photo shoot with Brooklyn the other day. If anyone has a chance to work with her, DO IT! I have never been more comfortable with a photographer, can't say enough good things about her. And I think we all agreed that the quote of the day was "I never thought I'd have my vagina on a coffin..."
