It's slightly weird being a female member on SG here with only a slight, tentative interest in maybe becoming an SG. I joined up to see what the inside was like - perhaps to make a decision on whether I wanted to go for it or not, but I'm still very much undecided. I have felt like my body was not my own for so long I'm not sure if I'm ready to share it with the whole internet! Plus I'm terribly shy and though I have done photoshoots in the past going about finding a photographer would be a head ache in itself.

Anyway what I'm trying to say is that maybe because I'm still a noob I'm not quite sure which parts of the site I should be inhabiting or where to post and I don't want people to think I've got the wrong end of the stick and that I know I'm here as a member rather than a hopeful or an SG. I know there are probably tons more female members on here that I'm missing. But mostly for now I'm just staying quiet and admiring the beautiful sets and people on here. I would love to join in, but I am actually quite unsure of where to begin!

I am new to SG, so I do not have help of any value to offer, but I did see you in a yoga discussion, and I hope you are enjoying your yoga. I was in the yoga group myself just looking about. I am thinking of starting Ashtanga yoga up the street from me, and I thought I might get some interesting thoughts in the group.

By the way, although unsolicited, I must remark on your comment which bordered on possibly not being confident about your body ..... you are obviously a hottie from your posted picture .... also, what drew me to SG in the first place was that beauty IS being redefined as they state with their last book. SG actually has all body types represented, and the fact that these women can be confident with so many body types is HOT!

SG isn't just about physical appearance. It's about beauty, and beauty has a wide spectrum of definition. As for your photographer finding dilemma, I'm sure you can post in the hopefuls group or photographer hopefuls and scout for someone in your area that way. I suggest joining groups like @mrmagpie mentioned and finding others with common interests. Check out other peoples blogs and find out what the community is talking about. Put yourself out there. Start by joining a conversation. Much like I did just now!
