Ever get those days where everything feels personal? I'm having one of those today.
No silly emo rant here though, no sir! It's been a busy week. I've lost count of how many miles I've travelled around the UK this week but to name but a few stops Watford, Bristol, Redditch and Milton Keynes have been among those miles and boy am I feeling it right now!
The week has mainly consisted of interviews, appointments and weddings - with this trend set to continue for the immediate future. Next interview tomorrow, next meeting on Wednesday and next wedding in a mere 3 weeks time.
Photographing weddings is a new thing for me, I started last summer for some extra cash but somehow I have 16 weddings booked this year - I never thought it would be something I would enjoy but as it turns out I do, it's different, there's always something going on to catch my attention and above all there's usually a pretty good atmosphere. As always though, having a massive inferiority complex I'm still comparing myself to other photographers a lot and feeling inadequate. I keep telling myself I'm new to all this and as soon as I have a bit more experience behind me I can carve out my own individual style in the business too, but I'm sure as many of you will understand for now it's all about not feeling you're as good as everyone else!
In other non work related news, Friday night was my boyfriend's band album launch party and it was really fun. The really are such an awesome bunch of people and their tunes aren't bad either, they are called Thirteen Shots and their album is called Vaudeville - you can check out their facebook page here....
